Gunite (Concrete) Pools by Sierra
A gunite pool is constructed with a mixture of dry concrete and sand applied through a high-pressure hose. This process allows for greater flexibility in a truly custom pool design, as the mixture can be shaped and molded to create various pool shapes and sizes. After the gunite is shot we give the shell a minimum of a 10-day curing time in which the gunite shell is watered twice a day to aid in the curing process and achieve maximum curing strength.
Sierra only uses ASR-FREE Certified Gunite Mix from our suppliers. We will also apply a waterproofing membrane to our shell after the curing process and before we plaster to offer that added protection for our clients. Sierra gunite pools are typically finished with a pebble plaster, tile, or another decorative material. Availability to add those custom details like an integrated spa, rock waterfall with grotto or a sleek infinity edge to maximize the beautiful Hill Country views and take your custom pool design to the next level!
